How Sponsorship Works

1. Read About Each Pup
Learn about the dogs in training and find the one you’d like to sponsor.

2. Choose a Sponsorship Level & Select Your Pup
Pick the level that fits your budget and select a pup to sponsor.

3. Select Your Supporter Gifts
View and choose SDV items directly on the sponsorship form. Images of the gifts are shown under “Choose Your Sponsorship Level and Select Your Pup” section.

Sponsorship Levels:

$50 Level: SDV Sticker
$100 Level: All of the above + 1 supporter item
$250 Level: All of the above + 2 supporter items
$500 Level: All of the above + 3 supporter items
$1,000 Level: All of the above + 4 supporter items

4. Complete Payment
Submit your sponsorship online safely and securely.

5. Receive Your Gift Items and Updates
Enjoy your selected gifts and follow your pup’s journey from training to becoming a life-changing service dog.

Sponsorships can be given as a present, in honor of someone special, or in memory of a loved one. You can personalize your gift when completing the sponsorship form.

Please Note:
Not every dog who begins training completes our program. If a dog you sponsored is disqualified, your donation will still be vital to our work and applied toward another dog’s training.

CARL

DOB: April 19, 2025
Trainer’s Note: Intuitively smart and level-headed—he is confident and learns faster than most pups because he remains calm and attentive
Energy Level: Balanced— stead and relaxed
MVP Skill: Picking up new cues quickly after only 1–2 tries
Fun Fact: Carl’s puppy raiser has raised nearly 30 pups from SDV!

SADIE

DOB: October 28, 2024
Trainer’s Note: Bright, energetic, and independent; concerned when her people are out of site
Energy Level: Go-getter—spirited and eager. She loves to keep her people on their toes.
Superpower: Clever problem-solver who won’t stop until she figures things out
Fun Fact: Sadie never misses a chance to pose the big question: “Are you sure I’m not the one in charge here?”
Expected Graduation Date: Fall 2026
KOna

DOB: January 1, 2025
Trainer’s Note: Sweet, thoughtful, and calm—he’s the type who wins you over with just one look
Energy Level: Playful but calm, considerate with both people and dogs
Next adventure: Moving to a new puppy raiser home soon where he can continue to grow, play, and shine
Fun Fact: Is a half sibling to SDV Woody and SDV Nitro
Expected Graduation Date: Winter 2027
DOdger

DOB: November 30, 2024
Trainer’s Note: Polished leash skills well beyond his age (so smooth his raiser can carry coffee without spilling)
Energy Level: Plays like a big puppy off-duty but ready to focus and work when asked
Current Training Goal: Practicing “four on the floor” manners in the kitchen and continuing polite public behavior
Fun Fact: What happens when a pup encounters a skunk? Just ask Dodger!

Mulligan

DOB: November28, 2024
Trainer’s Notes: Gregarious and social—her love of people is an asset but can pull her focus away from lessons
Energy Level: Highly energetic and easily distracted
Favorite activity: Swimming—she’s a natural at Smith Mountain Lake, where she lives with her puppy raiser
Fun Fact: Her name is a perfect fit—she’s always ready “to take another shot” at getting things right
