ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Melanie Spalding is an artist based in Shenandoah County. She primarily creates portraits, while also exploring painting and gardening as part of her creative life. Much of her time is spent outdoors with her dogs, Kazoo, a red heeler, and Darby, a four-pound chihuahua, wandering through the woods together. She is honored to be part of such a meaningful project.
