Sigrid approaches her art as an extension of her inner world, weaving personal experiences into layered, collage-based works. Using materials like paper, photographs, and found mementos, she creates pieces that reflect growth, memory, and emotional release—often drawing on her background in art therapy.

Her work is shaped by a diverse life journey, including extensive travel, working as a truck driver, time on a Lakota Reservation, a decade on a psychiatric ward, and most recently, motherhood. She is also a co-founder of ARTCHO, an annual Charlottesville festival celebrating art, music, and community.
