Sponsor a dog

Service dogs aren’t just born… they’re bred, raised and trained to do this important work.

By sponsoring a service dog in training you helping a person living with a disability lead a life with greater independence. Learn about our dogs is our current round of Sponsor a Dog and help change a life!

Volunteer

Volunteers are the backbone of our nonprofit organization. We are extremely grateful for all of our volunteers who dedicate their time and talent to our mission each and every day!

If you are interested in volunteering with our program, we are accepting applications for puppy raisers, night/weekends volunteers, and respite volunteers.

Because life can change in an instant.

It costs approximately $40,000 over a two-year period to raise, train, and place a successful service dog. Through the generous support of caring individuals, businesses, and foundations, Service Dogs of Virginia is able to provide service dogs at no cost to those in need.
