ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Growing up just a few blocks from the Detroit Zoo, Kitty spent countless hours observing and sketching animals—an experience that shaped her lifelong passion for both art and teaching. She works primarily with colored pencils on suede matboard, a unique surface that brings rich texture and depth to her work. Through expressive detail and the emotion she captures in each subject’s eyes, Kitty strives to share her deep love and respect for animals in every piece she creates.
