The VT Community Dog-Art Collective is a collaborative group inspired by the profound impact of facility dog Josie, a beloved member of the university community. As professionals in the university’s counseling center and libraries, we witness Josie’s influence every day. Her presence fosters connection and belonging among students, faculty, and staff, while also helping to ease emotional distress. This sculpture is a tribute to the comfort, connection, and healing she promotes.
