A Place to call our own

Every trained service dog can bring safety, confidence, and greater independence to someone living with a disability. Demand is rising—but our current space makes it impossible to train more dogs without compromising the quality and care every dog deserves.

Here’s what’s holding us back right now:

  • No dedicated whelping + puppy-raising space: We’re limited in how many puppies we can safely welcome, nurture, and start in training at one time.

  • Crowded training areas: Trainers must share a small, multipurpose space—slowing progress and reducing how many teams we can work with each day.

  • No onsite kennel: We rely on volunteers to house dogs in training. We’re grateful, but it limits consistency and capacity.

Your donation helps build a purpose-built home with the specialized spaces we need—whelping and puppy areas, dedicated training rooms, and kennel space—so we can raise more puppies, train more dogs at once, and shorten wait times for those needing service dogs..

Give today to help the next team begin their journey sooner.

"As a SDV volunteer and dog lover, I see the limitations of our current space on a weekly basis. The new building is essential for SDV to reach its fullest potential and place more dogs with more people in need." M. Henderson
