Volunteer
PLEASE NOTE: At this time, we have a threshold of qualified volunteer applicants (but we always need Puppy Raisers). The description below is for informational purposes.
We genuninely appreicate your interest in our organization and will re-activate the volunteer application process at a future date, so check back often. In the meantime, other ways you can help Service Dogs of VA is by considering becoming a puppy raiser, dontating items on our wish list, purchasing note cards (all proceeds go to our programs) or donating funds to help raise and train the dogs. Thank You!

Could you raise a puppy to become a service dog?
Would you enjoy taking an older dog home during the evenings or weekends?
Can you volunteer to help train a dog for a few hours a week?
We need you!
From families with young children to empty-nesters and everyone in between, volunteering for Service Dogs of Virginia is a rewarding experience and has the potential to drastically change someone’s life for the better.
If you’re interested in volunteering but aren’t sure about what’s involved or what type of commitment you’re ready for, feel free to give us a call at 434-295-9503. We can arrange for you to visit one of our puppy classes or talk with other volunteers.
If you've read the section on puppy raising and already know you’re ready to sign up, please fill out and submit the puppy raiser application. Thank you!
