It costs SDV nearly $20,000 a year to purchase, raise, train, place, and provide follow-up training and assistance for each service dog.
SDV is a non-profit organization that takes great pride in matching the service dog to the individual based on need, not based on financial means.
That means we rely on the generosity of local businesses, foundations, individuals and our clients.
We will always place our dogs without regard to an individual’s financial means. But we need your help raising support.
All of our approved clients are requested to set a personal fundraising goal to help cover the costs of providing them with a high-quality, exceptionally trained service dog.
Once you are approved, SDV will be there to help and provide you with a Fundraising Kit full of easy-to-implement ideas to help you on your way.
